A Skipper is a trained CarSkipper professional who facilitates the meeting between a buyer and a seller. They verify IDs, perform a vehicle walkaround, capture required photos and signatures, and ensure the transaction is completed safely.

We currently serve the Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio metro areas. We are expanding to more cities soon!

The deposit (a percentage of the vehicle's price) locks in your 7-day exclusive reservation on the listing. This shows the seller you are a serious buyer and prevents others from snatching the car while you're arranging your test drive.

Yes! If the car isn't what you expected after the test drive, or if the deal falls through for most reasons within the first 24 hours of the appointment request, your deposit is fully refundable.

No. That's the best part! A Skipper will always be present during the meeting to facilitate the interaction and ensure everyone's safety.

It is completely free to list your car on CarSkipper. We only charge a small success fee when your vehicle is sold.

Once the Skipper confirms the handoff and the title transfer is verified by our operations team, the funds are released directly to your bank account via Stripe. This usually takes 1-3 business days.

Of course! You keep possession of your vehicle until the final handoff to the buyer. However, once a deposit is paid, the vehicle is reserved for that buyer for 7 days.

We accept all major credit cards and debit cards via Stripe for the initial deposit. For the final balance, we support secure ACH transfers and work with lenders for financed purchases.

Our service fee is tiered based on the vehicle's sale price. You'll see the exact fee before you finalize your listing or purchase.
